A - Dr. Anand Lakhani
- Reproductive Endocrinologist & Fertility Specialist
Dr. Anand Lakhani is a fertility specialist at CReATe Fertility with a strong academic background in biochemical engineering, medicine and systems leadership. He completed his medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto before pursuing fellowship training in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Ottawa. He has also published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international medical conferences.
Dr. Lakhani’s approach to care is shaped by both his clinical expertise and personal experience navigating egg donation and surrogacy as a patient. This gives him a unique understanding of the emotional, logistical and financial considerations involved in third-party reproduction.
His clinical interests include egg donation, surrogacy, male infertility and inclusive family building. Committed to providing compassionate, individualized guidance to intended parents, helping them navigate their fertility journey with confidence and support.
Dr. Lakhani is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of several national and international reproductive medicine organizations.
A - Dr. Clifford Librach
- Founder & Director
Dr. Clifford Librach is the founder and director of the CReATe Fertility Centre, the largest fertility clinic in Canada. He is a full Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, and holds cross-appointments with the Department of Physiology and Institute of Medical Sciences. He did his reproductive endocrinology training at the University of California, San Francisco before starting his practice in Canada in 1991. Since then, Dr. Librach has played an integral role in the establishment of the reproductive biology clinical and research programs in the University of Toronto Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has shown unparalleled leadership and commitment, and he has made significant contributions to current fertility practice in Canada. Dr. Librach was the president of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) in 2019. He is a huge supporter of the LGBTQ2 community and has helped build thousands of gay families with the largest egg donation and surrogacy program in Canada and one of the largest in the world.
A - Lisa Hogan
- Director of Third Party Reproduction & Business Development
Lisa Hogan, RN BScN, is the Director of the Third Party Program & Business Development for CReATe Fertility. Lisa has been a nurse for 30 years. Her career began in labour and delivery and shifted to fertility awareness and third party family building 6 years ago. Her experience in third party program development, Health Canada accreditations and cycle management gives her a unique understanding of the pathway to parenthood. Lisa ensures regulatory compliance & patient safety with every journey. She believes that creating a supportive culture that understands “no two definitions of the word family are the same” is key to supporting Intended Parents throughout their journey. Her focus is to ensure that each family has access to safe and ethical options for building a family. With this in mind, she continues to build new relationships around the globe to ensure there is a network of professionals available to facilitate the process close to home.
Dr. Ari Baratz
- Reproductive Medicine Specialist
Dr. Ari Baratz is a highly experienced reproductive medicine specialist with over 20 years of practice in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART.) He is double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. As a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, Dr. Baratz has played a key role at the New Women's College Hospital. His clinical focus includes all forms of ART, with particular expertise in third-party reproduction and reproductive endoscopic surgery. A compassionate provider and dedicated educator, Dr. Baratz has presented his research at numerous national and international forums. He offers consultations on infertility and third-party reproductive medicine to patients across Canada and internationally. Dr. Baratz is actively involved in multiple professional organizations and currently serves as Chair of the Ontario Medical Association's Reproductive Biology Section and President of the Board of Directors at Fertility Matters Canada.
Dr. Justin Tan
- Reproductive Endocrinologist
Dr. Justin Tan is a reproductive endocrinologist at CReATe Fertility Centre with multidisciplinary training in engineering, medicine, and biostatistics from MIT and the University of Cambridge. His clinical and research work focuses on developing innovative reproductive technologies that promote improved to access to care and he is particularly passionate about third-party reproduction and advancing LGBTQ+ family-building rights. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications, delivered over 20 international presentations, and contributed to key educational texts related to assisted reproductive technologies.
Dr. Karen Glass
- Reproductive Medicine Specialist
Dr. Karen Glass is a fertility specialist at CReATe Fertility Centre, where she serves as Director of Fertility Preservation. She completed her medical degree at the University of Ottawa, followed by postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at McMaster University and a two-year fellowship at UCLA in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and urogynecology.
Dr. Glass joined CReATe Fertility in 2002 and has since focused much of her work on fertility preservation, particularly for individuals facing cancer treatment. She also serves as Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. She previously chaired the Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society.
Dr. Glass has contributed to research in oncofertility, including the RUBY Study, and has been recognised for her work supporting young people with cancer.
She is committed to helping patients understand their fertility preservation options and make informed decisions about their future.
Dr. Prati Sharma
- Reproductive Endocrinologist & Fertility Specialist
Dr. Prati A. Sharma is an Infertility Specialist with over 15 years of experience in Reproductive Health and Fertility. She has been practicing at CReATe Fertility Centre in Toronto for more than 17 years. A native New Yorker, she completed her medical training at the prestigious NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Columbia University.
Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in third-party reproduction, egg donation, and gestational surrogacy, having cared for patients from around the world. She is the current President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and holds several advisory board positions, including with Bird&Be, Future Fertility, and Carrot Fertility.
An active physician on social media (@drpratiasharma), Dr. Sharma has appeared in numerous national and international media outlets, where she speaks about fertility and reproductive health. She is passionate about providing LGBTQ+ inclusive care and welcomes new patients from MHB.
F - Christy Quintos
- Finance Administrative Assistant
Christy is a Third-Party Finance Administrative Assistant with CReATe Fertility, where she supports patients and Intended Parents with the financial and administrative aspects of their fertility journey.
Her role includes coordinating billing and payments, preparing invoices, processing refunds, managing package agreements, and assisting with patient accounts for CReATe’s egg donor and surrogacy programs. Christy works closely with patients to answer questions and help make the financial process as clear, organized, and straightforward as possible.
In addition to her professional experience, Christy has personal experience as an egg donor, giving her valuable firsthand insight into the donor journey and the many questions and considerations that can arise throughout third party reproduction.
Christy brings an approachable, responsive, and detail-oriented perspective to her role. She understands that fertility treatment can involve significant financial and administrative complexity and is committed to helping patients feel informed and supported throughout this important part of their journey.
F - Terry Li
- Financial Coordinator
Terry is a Financial Coordinator with CReATe Fertility and brings a unique perspective to his role as an Intended Parent who completed his own egg donation and surrogacy journey in Canada.
Having experienced the process firsthand, Terry understands the emotional, financial, and logistical complexities that Intended Parents may encounter throughout their journey. His personal experience allows him to connect with patients from a place of genuine understanding while helping them navigate the financial aspects of treatment and third party family building.
Terry is passionate about ensuring Intended Parents feel informed, supported, and heard throughout the process. He believes that having access to knowledgeable professionals, as well as people who truly understand the experience, can make an important difference during what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming journey.
His goal is to provide clear guidance, answer questions, and help Intended Parents move forward with greater confidence as they build their families.
W - Jan Silverman, PhD
- Head Counsellor
Jan is a pioneer in the field of Reproductive Health Counselling, with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals and couples realize their dream of parenthood. At CReATe Fertility Centre, she provides counselling and psychological assessments for Intended Parents, Egg Donors, and Surrogates, with a dedicated focus on supporting same-sex male couples and single men pursuing family building through egg donation and surrogacy. Jan has had the privilege of working with men from across North America and around the world, guiding them through the emotional, ethical, and practical aspects of third-party reproduction. Jan participates & is a speaker in groups such as Men Having Babies, Daddies & Papas 2B, and similar organizations. She is deeply committed to helping men feel informed, supported, and empowered on their journey to fatherhood.

I started my fertility journey with Create in 2020, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this clinic. Dr. Sharma helped me bring two beautiful children into the world, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I received throughout the process.
It was not an easy journey for me. There are many uncertainty and unexpected concerns, For example, the genetic concerns related to the egg donor and the heartbreaking decision to terminate a pregnancy following a cancer diagnosis. During these difficult times, Create provided support, compassion, and guidance, helping me navigate every bump in the road.
I highly recommend Create to anyone considering fertility treatment. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference in my journey, and I am forever thankful for the role they played in helping me build my family.
